My final art project for the semester. I've never rushed to finish something so much, and suffice it to say I really hate this drawing, simply because I've been staring at it non-stop for about five days.

The thing that I really don't like about it is it seems too... plain Jane Bible School or something... it doesn't look as kick-ass as I had planned in my head. It probably has to do with my soft, clean style of line work and my super rushed air-brushed (I HATE airbrush) coloring.

Anyway. I'm off to make some prints for review!

The humour in this is *looks confused momentarily* funny. Good heavens, what a worthless sentence, let's try again.

This is very funny in many ways, and marvelously drawn. His outfit is superb.

I think the lack of spark in it comes from, as you said, the smooth colouring (which is nonetheless quite pretty, on Odysseus' face especially). But also the size of all the figures is an issue. There is nothing for Odysseus to react to that is on his plane in the picture -- there is only background.

I'm gonna have to agree with Grondhammar. Your coloring is really pretty, but the composition is too loose.

Yeah, I agree 5000%. This is not my strongest work but I was quite QUITE rushed.

I like the colouring on the rocks :) also as the green tentacles. I think you gave a very good "comic" atmosphere there.

maybe the composition is not as majestic as you originally planned, but hey, don't rush... that's what art is about ^^ to learn, practice and get better in time :) and you're very good, you just have to keep on!
